APPLICATION FOR A BUSINESS VISITOR VISA (FOR A STAY OF UP TO 3 MONTHS)  


Lodgement days: MONDAY and WEDNESDAY FROM 09.30 am to 12.00 pm (Noon)
Lodgement of applications: 3 weeks before proposed date of departure
Processing time: 5 workings days if application is fully documented and if no additional information/interview is required

Purpose:

Temporary stay of people seeking to enter Australia for less than 3 months for business

Requirements:

1. Duly completed and signed Forms 456 "Application for a Business Visitor visa (for a stay of up to 3 months) – application Form 456 may be also be downloaded from the websites ‘www.mauritius.embassy.gov.au’ and ‘www.immi.gov.au’

2. Visa processing fee of Mauritian rupees 4,100. Payment must be made in Mauritian rupees in cash or by bank guaranteed cheque made to the order of ‘Australian High Commission’. Other methods of payment including payment by credit cards and payments in any other currencies are not acceptable

Fees already paid are generally not refundable if a visa is granted or not

3. One recent passport size photograph of the applicant and for all persons included in the application (eg spouse and children)

4. A valid passport for the applicant and for all persons included in the application (eg spouse and children)

5. A copy of the FULL birth certificate for all children included in the application showing the names of both parents (father and mother)

6. A copy of the marriage certificate for the spouse included in the application

7. A detailed statement describing the business you wish to conduct in Australia, that is, the purpose of your visit, the name and contact details of your Australian contact(s), dates of visit and expected length of stay in Australia and details of who will meet the cost of the trip and all related expenses

8. A copy of an invitation letter from your Australian contact indicating the purpose of your visit, dates of visit and expected length of stay in Australia

9. A supporting statement from your employer if you will be travelling on behalf of the company for which you work

10. Evidence of work-residence permit for Mauritius if you are a citizen of another country operating a business in Mauritius or if you are employed by a Mauritian company

11. Evidence of funds must be provided if you have included your close family members (spouse and children under the age of 18 years to be included at the same time) on your application form

12. Applicants aged 75 years and over must provide the following additional information:
- Aged Health Check Form duly completed and signed by one of the High Commission’s Panel

- a health insurance covering the period of stay in Australia
