Australia Africa Community Grant Scheme (AACGS) Projects funded in 2009-2010
The following projects were funded in 2009-2010 in Rodrigues and Madagascar through the Australian High Commission’s AACGS. A total of AUD200, 000 was providing as funding.
Rodrigues
Support for the Mauritius Wildlife Federation’s restoration and reforestation project in the Grand Montagne Nature Reserve.
Madagascar
Disaster relief to victims of tropical storm Hubert that caused widespread damage and homelessness in Madagascar in early 2010.
The installation of clean and safe drinking water systems in the villages of Andoharano, Andafiatsimo and Ambohibary and the Fokontany of Iankarina.
