INFORMATION SHEET FOR STUDENT VISA APPLICANTS
Introduction of appointment system for Student visa applicants on 01 August 2013
Clients wishing to lodge a Student visa application on or after 1 August 2013 must contact this office via email ([email protected]) to make an appointment to lodge their visa application. Applicants without an appointment date will not be able to lodge their visa application.
Please also note that this office will no longer provide prospective visa applicants with a Student visa package which comprises of the application form, checklist, list of additional documents requirements, list of panel doctors and medical forms as this information is now available on the website of the Australian High Commission ‘www.mauritius.embassy.gov.au’ under ‘Visas and Migration’, as follows:
STUDENT VISA APPLICATION FORMS AND CHECKLISTS:
• Assessment Level 1 Student visa Checklist (ELICOS,, School Sector, Higher Education and Masters/Doctorate/Post Graduate Research courses)
• Assessment Level 2 Student visa Checklist (Vocational and Foundation Study courses)
• Student visa additional documents requirements
• Student Dependent Visa Checklist
Student visa applicants will be required to download the appropriate checklist and the Student visa additional documents requirements from the website ‘www.mauritius.embassy.gov.au’.
The application form 157A and the medical forms 160 and 26 must be downloaded from the website “http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/” and the list of panel doctors in Mauritius is available on the website ‘www.mauritius.embassy.gov.au’.

The Student Visa Counter will be opened for the lodgement of applications on the following days:
Tuesday and Thursday from 09.30 am to 12.00 Noon
Walk in enquiries will not be attended to except in cases of emergency only. Phone enquiries can be made on (230) 202 0180 from 1.00 to 3.45 pm, Monday to Friday.
The Australian High Commission will be closed on the following days in 2013:
1 January, 2 January, 1 February, 12 March, 29 March, 1 April, 25 April, 10 June, 9 August, 10 September, 7 October, 24 December, 25 December and 26 December 2013.
